Welcome to the Ms. Hollywood magazine family.

1.Welcome to the Ms. Hollywood Magazine Family can you tell your fans something about yourself that they may or may not know?

Thanks for having me. Well, I have a couple of things fans may not know about me like i am named after the singer Sade . I also have a beauty mark under my right eye, you have to look closely to see it though lol and a snack I can’t live without is hot Cheetos love my hot chips.

2. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry and as a journalist?

Well, I actually got my start as a teen model I model for Dillard’s department store and did local fashion shows after graduating high school I dabbled in modeling got featured on a couple of shows such as ABC fab life show for a fashion segment.

I transitioned because not only I matured but I was ready for something of substance beyond the way I look I’ve been taking pictures playing dress up for as long as I could remember I know it was more to me than just face value my mom always was supportive of whatever I did but she definitely valued education she influenced my decision to go to college so I did and double majored in Communication and behavioral science I choose these subjects because  I wanted to connect with people in a way that’s beyond what you can see.

3. Who inspires you as a journalist?

CNN anchor Don Lemon inspires me as a journalist he’s from Louisiana, just like me I actually met him at a seminar at philander smith college during that time my brother was getting ready to attend their college. I spoke to him after the seminar he asked what was majored I told him communication and that I wanted to become a journalist he gave me advice I still carry today which is to go for it and to keep smiling.

4. If you could have a sitdown conversation with anyone dead or alive who would it be and why?

Umm hard question because it’s a lot of people but if I had to choose one it would be Kobe Bryant although I did meet him once and we crossed paths on several occasions I respect his work ethic and what he did for the game of basketball.

5. What have been the obstacles that you’ve had to face early on as a female in this industry?

It was more of an obstacle within myself, to be honest, it’s easy to feel out of place in certain environments when you look around and don’t see many people in the room that don’t look like you so for me it’s really been about self-love, self-growth and just staying on course staying positive.

6. What kind of advice would you give a newcomer trying to pursue a career in your line of work?

Patience is key. You have to really enjoy what you are doing and take nothing for granted there’s always something to learn. Gratitude goes a long way and to never be afraid to fail because the only guaranteed way to fail is to never try.

7. What has been the pinnacle of your career so far?

The pinnacle of my career so far has been each and every time I got to interview talent and creators in the industry because I respect each and everyone the same. We all have something to share and give to this world, big or small so I am blessed and grateful for that.

8. Where do you see your career in 5 years?

Umm interesting question in the next five years I can see myself on television and during something in beauty and fashion because I love creativity.
