Welcome to the Mr. Hollywood magazine family.
1.Welcome to the Ms. Hollywood Magazine Family can you tell your fans something about yourself that they may or may not know?
Thanks for having me. Well, I have a couple of things fans may not know about me like I am named after the singer Sade and I have a beauty mark under my right eye, you have to look closely to see it though lol and a snack I can’t live without is hot Cheetos love my hot chips.
2. How did you get your start in the entertainment industry and as a journalist?
Well, I actually got my start as a teen model I model for department stores like Dillards and did local fashion shows so it is safe to say I started off as a model as I got older I wanted to do something of more substance beyond the way I look because I knew it was more to me than just face value my mom always was supportive of whatever I did but she definitely values education and I listened that was some of her last words to me to finish school before her passing I double majored in Communication and behavioral science because I wanted to connect with people because from my own life experiences I learned there’s always something beyond what you can see and I love hearing people stories.
3. Who inspires you as a journalist?
CNN anchor Don Lemon inspires me as a journalist he’s from Louisiana, just like me I actually met him at a seminar at philander smith college during that time my brother was getting ready to attend their school I have spoken to Don Lemon after the seminar he asked what I was taking up in school I told him I wanted to become a journalist he
gave me advice I still carry today which is to be myself and to keep smiling.
4. If you could have a sitdown conversation with anyone dead or alive who would it be and why?
Umm hard question because it’s a lot of people but if I had to choose one it would be Kobe
Bryant although I did meet him and we crossed paths on several occasions I still choose him because I respect his work ethic and what he did for the game of basketball.
5. What have been the obstacles that you’ve had to face early on as a female in this industry?
It was more of an obstacle within myself, to be honest, it’s easy to feel out of place in certain environments with you looking around and not seeing many people that look like you so for me it’s really been about self-love, self-growth and just staying on course not dwelling in negativity.
6. What kind of advice would you give a newcomer trying to pursue a career in your line of work?
Patience is key. You have to really enjoy what you are doing and take nothing for granted there’s always something to learn. Gratitude goes a long way and to never be afraid to fail because the only guaranteed way to fail is to never try.
7. What has been the pinnacle of your career so far?
The pinnacle of my career so far has been each and every time I got to interview talent and creators in the industry because I respect each and everyone the same. We all have something to share and give to this world, big or small so I am blessed and grateful for god’s blessings.
8. Where do you see your career in 5 years?
Umm interesting question in the next five years I can see myself on television and something in beauty and fashion because I love creativity.
9. Who is your celebrity crush?
Lol umm, I’m sure he knows who he is I’m not going to call out any names some stuff best between you and your person of interest haha.
